“We are celebrating our 15th birthday. For 15 years now, we have been a generator of political solutions for young people and a corrector of any power that allowed itself to be arrogant. That is why even today, without fear and with absolute determination, we say “No!” to Bulgaria with Peevski and Borisov”, said yesterday at a special event the chairman of the Youth Union in the BSP and leader of the “BSP – UNITED LEFT” list at 23 MIR in the capital Gabriel Valkov.

Nearly 200 young socialists gathered in the South Park in Sofia to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the youth organization of the BSP.

The event started with an open discussion between Valkov and the first on the list of 24 MIR – Atanas Atanasov. They were accompanied on the stage by Georgi Angelov, Ivan Panayotov and Sava Dikov – three more young candidates for people’s representatives of the left from 23 MIR.

“We have to keep young people in Bulgaria. This happens with the development of an efficient and modern economy, attracting investments with high added value. It is high time to put an end to the transformation of Bulgaria into an economic desert”, shared Atanasov about his priorities in the future parliament.

The program for young candidates “First Job!” was also presented. First home! First child!”, which includes measures for state assistance for young people when finding a first job, buying a first home and raising a first child.

The event continued with a game of backgammon and themed drinks on the occasion of the youth organization’s birthday.

Earlier in the day, the youth gathered for a meeting of the National Council of the MoD in the BSP at the headquarters of the Sofia organization of the party.

There they were welcomed by the chairman of “BSP – United Left” Atanas Zafirov.

“I express the satisfaction of the BSP leadership with the work of the Youth Union. You work actively and energetically. You are the future of BSP and the left in Bulgaria. We walk together and united we are stronger. Let’s stop dividing. We have something to say to people on the axis of the left. And the struggle of the common man in the fight against the monopolies,” he told the young socialists.
