BYD streetcars have arrived in Israel. And what will the prices be? Depends on who you ask

by time news

The first BYD electric cars landed in Israel in recent weeks and were registered for traffic in the country – this is according to the records of the Ministry of Transportation detailing the new vehicle models intended to be put on Israel’s roads in the coming weeks.

A few weeks ago, Shlomo Motors announced that it will begin importing Chinese BYD passenger cars to Israel and is expected to soon open four dealerships in Israel to sell the Chinese giant’s electric cars. Shlomo Motors will sell three models of the company in Israel – HAN, TANG and ATTO3.

The records of the State of Israel do not list only the models that entered Israel, but also the price declared by the importer in the import documents. However, it must be emphasized that the records of the State of Israel are sometimes not final – moreover, the records do not specify the level of finish of the vehicle. Thus, the state records show that the BYD ATTO 3 car was registered at a price of NIS 199,900, while a TANG was registered in the import declaration at a price of NIS 299,900.

According to the data published by BYD on the Israeli website that has not yet been opened for orders, the official driving range of the ATTO 3 is 420 kilometers. The equipment list includes seven airbags, an active system to prevent lane departure, a system for emergency braking against pedestrians, adaptive cruise control and other systems.

The TAG – BYD’s top off-road vehicle – is able to travel, according to the manufacturer’s data, for an official range of 400 kilometers. The TANG’s safety equipment list includes six airbags, an active lane departure warning system, adaptive cruise control and other safety systems.

Today, Chinese cars from various companies are imported to Israel, the most prominent ones being those made by Geely, SERES and Skywall.
