Located 130 kilometers from Campo Grande, Camisão, district of Aquidauana, brings together attractions around the river that gives the city its name with the desire to break the idea that enjoying nature in Mato Grosso do Sul needs to be expensive. Defending the objective of being a cheap trip for workers, Aecopaxi (Association of Enterprises of the Paxixi Tourist Corridor) has been the means of presenting the options.

Leading the association, Mirian Coura Aveiro introduces explaining that, about a year ago, she herself was surprised by the region. And, after understanding the potential, she had the idea of ​​bringing together entrepreneurs to show that Bonito’s values, which generally concern those who want to visit, do not need to be applied everywhere.

“Camisão is very close to Campo Grande, but its beauty was not being promoted. I retired a year ago and I have a ranch in Camisão, so when I got there, friends wanted to go and, one day, 40 people wanted to go, so I went to see the inns and was surprised”, explains Mirian.

Noting that the district had the structure to receive visitors, the retired civil servant invited entrepreneurs to create the association and start the actions. “We are organized into 13 enterprises, including inns, gastronomy spaces, fishing grounds and trail professionals.”

According to the president, through the organization, the association managed to create itineraries with the proposal that tourism in the region is both for the salaried worker who wants to spend just one day and for the tourist who is prepared to enjoy their vacation.

“The district is becoming a reference with Terroir Pantanal, but now we are also able to show that natural beauty brings a tranquility that is increasingly necessary”, argues the president.

Turning to the attractions, Mirian says that Morro do Paxixi and the Aquidauana River bring the region to life. “With this in mind, we have chalets and fishing boats with complete houses, for example, so you only need to take food with you. We want to counter the idea of ​​high costs and show that you can go to Camisão, eat a sandwich and that with R$50 in your pocket you can do something”.

There, furnished fishing houses for up to ten people cost R$ 100 per day, day use is available in inns with swimming pools for R$ 50, and with five people the space provides a kiosk with barbecue.

There are also boat trips along the Aquidauana River for R$50, a prepared dish costing R$23, fish from R$40 and trails in the region with drivers and tourist insurance for R$50.

And, even thinking about those who don’t have their own vehicle, there is a van leaving from Campo Grande towards Camisão for R$48.
