The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands received the initial alert at 4:23 PM local time. Immediately, a comprehensive emergency response was activated, including resources from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), Primary Care, and the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium.
Specifically, the SUC dispatched a medicalized ambulance, a sanitized ambulance, and a basic life support ambulance to the location. Medical personnel from the Gáldar Health Center – a doctor and a nurse – also responded to provide on-site care. Consortium firefighters played a critical role in extricating the victim from the wreckage.
Unsuccessful Resuscitation Attempts
According to reports, the victim was found to be in cardiorespiratory arrest upon rescue. Health personnel from the Gáldar Health Center and the SUC immediately initiated both basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers. Despite their best efforts, these interventions proved unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The situation was critical from the moment we arrived,” a senior official stated. “Every effort was made to save the individual, but unfortunately, it was not possible.”

Local Police and the Civil Guard collaborated with emergency responders, securing the area and initiating an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. Authorities are currently working to determine the cause of the accident and are handling all related procedures.
