Car production in Russia in 2023 increased by 16%

The Ministry of Industry and Trade traditionally considers the production of all types of vehicles together, including cars, trucks and public transport. Data for individual categories is provided by Rosstat. According to the service’s statistics, in January–November 2023 (data for the entire year have not yet been published), 481,600 passenger cars were produced in Russia (an increase of 17.5% year-on-year), 151,000 trucks (+20%), 12 500 buses weighing more than 5 tons (+10%) and 20,900 buses weighing less than 5 tons (+82%).
