As Day.Az reports with reference to Trend, the following events began work within the framework of the Caspian Construction Week: 4th Azerbaijan International Exhibition for the restoration, reconstruction and development of Karabakh “Rebuild Karabakh”, 29th Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition “BakuBuild”, 16 -1st International Exhibition on Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Water Supply, Plumbing and Swimming Pools “Aquatherm Baku”, as well as the 12th Caspian International Exhibition of Road Infrastructure and Public Transport “Road&Traffic”.
Officials took part in the opening ceremony.
As Elchin Kazimov, press secretary of the Economic Zones Development Agency of Azerbaijan, told reporters on the sidelines of the event, as of today, 153 business entities have been assigned the status of residents of industrial zones of Azerbaijan.
“To date, 153 business entities have been granted the status of residents of industrial zones of Azerbaijan. In total, entrepreneurs have invested more than 6.8 billion manats in industrial zones, which has created more than 10,500 permanent jobs,” Kazimov added.
According to him, at the next stage, according to existing projects, it is planned to invest an additional more than 1 billion manat in industrial zones, which will lead to the creation of more than 8,400 new jobs.
And the Chairman of the Board of the Karabakh Revival Foundation, Rahman Hajiyev, said that the implementation of a large central park in Fizuli will begin in the near future.
“With the financial support of the Karabakh Revival Fund, various projects are being implemented in the liberated territories. Most of them are commissioned by other government agencies and financed by the Fund. The Fund has also allocated funds for the creation of tourism infrastructure around the Shahbulag fortress. It is planned to create a large central park in the city of Fuzuli with various facilities, including restaurants, playgrounds and sports grounds, bridges and other structures. This project is already at the examination stage, and its implementation will begin in the near future,” he said.
In addition, as Hajiyev noted, with the support of the Foundation, several objects will be restored in the city of Shusha, such as the ancient Caravanserai and the museum building.
“An environmental project was carried out in the city of Fuzuli and in the Zangilan region. In the near future, together with the Ministry of Culture, the Foundation will begin financing the creation of memorial complexes in Karabakh. There are many similar projects,” he added.
Acting Executive Director of the Reconstruction, Construction and Management Service in the Lachin District Tofik Islamov said at a panel discussion that the second stage of restoration of the Lachin District will begin closer to the spring of next year.
“As part of the Great Return program, 846 families (more than 3,000 people) have been resettled to date. Currently, 226 houses have been restored in the Lachin district, and people have already been resettled there. This work was carried out as part of the first stage. Design work is currently underway for the second stage of restoration. According to our plans, these works will be completed by the beginning of next year. I believe that closer to spring we will begin the second stage, which includes the restoration of houses, roads, tourist areas, hotels and apartment buildings. new industrial facilities, which will employ more people. As part of the implementation of the COP29 plan for environmental protection, technologies for the use of renewable energy sources are being actively introduced. In particular, solar panels are installed on the roofs of buildings, and street lighting is provided using hybrid solar lamps,” he said. T.Islamov.
According to him, to ensure a stable energy supply, solar panels are being installed in 24 houses, and solar collectors are connected in 90 houses.
“In the villages of Zabukh and Sus, as well as on the roofs of two schools and administrative buildings, solar panels are installed. There are also 11 small hydroelectric power stations in the area, which allows generating more than 80 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy, saving over 20 million cubic meters of natural gas and preventing emissions more than 32 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere,” added T. Islamov.
Assistant to the executive director of the Reconstruction, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi, Agdera and Khojaly regions, Hamid Mehdiyev, in turn, said that the construction of 190 houses is planned in Agder.
He noted that it is planned to build 56 residential buildings in Khojaly, and 120 in Malybeyli and other villages.
“The construction of 5 five-story buildings in Sugovushan is at the final stage. The return of internally displaced persons to Khankendi has not yet begun, but more than 5 thousand representatives, employees of state and non-state structures now live there. Since the start of the Karabakh University, 1,200 students have also settled there,” added Mehdiev.
In addition, the executive director of the Office of the State Reserve of the city of Shusha, Tural Novruzov, said that new residential buildings will be built in Shusha and the resettlement of people will continue.
“In accordance with the Great Return program, restoration and construction work is being carried out, and the resettlement of people to their native lands will continue,” he said.
Novruzov added that work on the restoration of monuments also continues in the city.
Further, Deputy Executive Director of the Reconstruction, Construction and Management Service in the Agdam, Fizuli and Khojavend regions, Sabuhi Abdullayev, stated that in the village of Tug, Khojavend region, liberated from occupation, 30 private residential buildings, a school building for 360 children, and a kindergarten for 50 seats.
“After reconstruction, a number of existing buildings will be used for a new purpose – a hotel, a cultural center, a pharmacy. In the city of Hadrut, work related to the restoration process is also ongoing, and demolition and vertical planning work is currently underway. In total, the city of Hadrut is envisaged for restoration and construction of 11 residential buildings.
It is also planned to build 4 two-story, 4-apartment residential buildings, the design of which is currently underway. It is planned to renovate and modernize the one-story post office building. In addition, it is planned to renovate and restore in a modern style a two-story market and restaurant building, as well as a three-story hotel building.
Currently, design work is underway for restoration and construction work to be carried out in the village of Hadrut. The village provides for the creation of recreation areas, a public garden, an open exhibition area, children’s playgrounds, a library, a parking lot for 64 spaces and other facilities,” Abdullayev said.
It should be noted that the Caspian Construction Week will continue until October 17.
