Celebration of seafood in Saudi Lulu

Dammam: A seafood fair has opened in all Lulu hypermarkets in Saudi Arabia. The ‘Sea Food Fest’, which runs from December 1 to 7, will be chaired by the head of the fisheries department at the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. Inaugurated by Ali Mohammed Al Sheikh. Lulu Director Shehim Mohammed was present at the ceremony in Lulu Murabba, Riyadh. During this time, Lulu prepares a wide and extensive collection of Norwegian cora, kilimin, shrimp, native sherry, aikura, large prawns, black seabream, fresh crab, catfish and tilapia. Lulu officials said the fish will be cleaned and cut for customers.


Saudi Arabia is known for its marine resources and marine life. Sheheem said the seafood fest is aimed at showcasing the country’s richness with new seafood. In addition to the variety of fish, Lulu’s fish counters will be filled with frozen and cooked fish dishes such as frozen crab-sticks, mussels, seafood cocktails, smoked herring, fish steaks and light meat tuna. There will also be an opportunity to try out local delicacies such as fish biryani, fish masala, kadai shrimp and Oriental fish manchurian gravy.
