Center makes RTPCR mandatory at six airports in the country | Omicron

New Delhi: RTPCR tests have been made mandatory at six airports across the country amid concerns over Omikron. The inspection was made mandatory for travelers from countries at high risk. Bookings must be made in advance for inspection. The facility for this will be set up by the Air Convenience Portal. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued an order in this regard.

Passengers arriving at major airports in the country such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad are required to check in. This may extend to other airports in the country. The standard RTPCR test charge is Rs.500. If you want to get a quick check for quick results, you will have to spend Rs 3,500. Results are available within 30 minutes to an hour and a half.

Go to the official website of the airport

Click on the ‘Book Covid Test’ option

Select International Traveler

Provide information like name, phone number, email, Aadhaar number, passport number, address, time of arrival and date.

Select the desired test method from RTPCR and Rapid RTPCR.
