If the final edition was played on the mind, that of a Real Madrid more confident than ever, the Champions League 2022-2023 will undoubtedly be measured on the physical. Because the European season promises to be intense: a group stage condensed into less than two months (three months in normal times), a break that will see the best players fly away for the World Cup in Qatar (November 20 – December 18 ) and a resumption in mid-February for an eliminatory phase which will largely depend on the ability of the internationals to get back on their feet.
