CHELSEA – WOLVERHAMPTON 2-4:

The Chelsea crisis seems to have no end in sight. On Sunday, Wolverhampton got a 4-2 victory from Stamford Bridge.

It happened after a turnaround that consisted of an own goal and a goal triple from Matheus Cunha.

Chelsea took the lead through Cole Palmer in the 20th minute. The youngster headed in 1-0 from a slightly angled angle, but the joy in the stands quickly died down.

Soon after, Cunha equalized with a shot that went in via Thiago Silva. On the eve of the half, the hosts were unlucky again when the ball went past Axel Disasi before it was in the net.

Wolverhampton also played sharply after the break. After just over an hour, Cunha scored 3-1, and on the stroke of half-time the Brazilian completed the hat-trick from the penalty spot.

The race was then over for Chelsea, and Thiago Silva’s 2-4 reduction was nothing more than a bit of decoration for an embarrassing home result.

Chelsea have only won five of twelve home games in the Premier League this season. Mauricio Pochettino’s men are all the way down in 11th place with only 31 points from 23 games.

Wolves are in first place with one more point.
