Heavy Rainfall Expected in Coastal and Interior Tamil Nadu
The Chennai Meteorological Center has issued a warning of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many places in coastal Tamil Nadu, as well as a few places in interior Tamil Nadu districts, Puduvai and Karaikal areas. This change in weather is due to a shift in the speed of the easterly wind.
According to the Chennai Meteorological Department, the rains are expected to continue in 7 districts of Tamil Nadu. The districts expected to experience rainfall in the next 2 hours are Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Ranipet, Chengalpattu and Cuddalore.
Residents in these areas are advised to take caution and stay indoors during the expected heavy rainfall. Authorities are also urged to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of the public.
