by times news cr

Cheongdo-gun produced a leaflet on relocation benefits. Cheongdo-gun (Governor Kim Ha-su) produced and distributed the ‘Cheongdo-gun moving-in benefit information leaflet’, which summarizes support policies for young people, those returning to rural areas, and newlyweds preparing for pregnancy and childbirth in an easy-to-understand manner.

This leaflet is a systematic compilation of main content, support targets, and guidance phone numbers so that recipients can apply for all support projects and benefits in four areas, including youth, returning to rural areas, and pregnancy and childbirth.

In particular, Cheongdo-gun is also pursuing a comprehensive support policy whereby children born in Cheongdo can receive up to 230 million won per child depending on their life cycle from college to marriage.

The leaflet is placed in nine town/village offices, public health centers, and related organizations so that residents can easily access it.

Kim Ha-su, Cheongdo-gun governor, said, “Cheongdo-gun has established itself as the number one place for returning to rural areas, and is implementing various policies to make Cheongdo a better place to live by improving residential conditions, such as creating a good city for raising children and a good city for young people to take on challenges.” “Through this leaflet, which makes it easy to see policies at a glance, we hope that residents who moved to Cheongdo-gun will enjoy the benefits to the fullest without missing out,” he said.

Meanwhile, Cheongdo-gun announced that it will promote an empty house maintenance support project to support the demolition of old and abandoned empty houses in order to create a safe and comfortable residential environment.

The empty house maintenance support project provides support for the demolition of an empty house that no one has lived in or used for more than a year, with an increase of KRW 1 million compared to the previous year, up to a maximum of KRW 3 million per house.

Once selected as a project target, the project target can directly select a company, carry out the demolition work, and request a subsidy.

When selecting an empty house for a project, business priorities are determined by comprehensively considering the age of the house, the degree of surrounding hazards, and the removal of slate.

The application period is from Monday, January 13, 2025 to Friday, February 21, 2025. Owners of empty houses who wish to apply for the project can apply by visiting the civil affairs and architectural design team or the town/myeon office where the empty house is located.

Detailed information about the project and application reception can also be found in the notices and announcements on the Cheongdo County Office website.

Cheongdo County Governor Kim Ha-su said, “As empty houses are emerging as a serious social problem due to population decline such as low birth rate and aging, we will do our best to improve safe and comfortable residential conditions through a steady and efficient empty house maintenance support project.”
