The center said in a statement: “As of 8 am (local time) on January 8, a total of 515 seizures were recorded, including 488 seizures with a magnitude of less than 3 degrees, 27 seizures with a magnitude of 3 degrees or higher. .. and 3 aftershocks with a size less than 3 degrees With a strength between 4.0 and 4.9 degrees.
Seismologists said the maximum aftershock, with a magnitude of 4.4, was recorded about 18 kilometers from the epicenter of the main earthquake.
The 6.8-magnitude earthquake occurred at 09.05 local time on Tuesday in Tengri County, Shigadze County, Tibet Autonomous Region. The source of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km.
