Cho Kuk, leader of the Fatherland Innovation Party, emphasized on the 23rd, “It will be an icebreaker that breaks the ice of the frozen prosecution dictatorship,” and “We will fight properly to set the country straight.”

The Fatherland Innovation Party’s Gwangju-Jeonnam general election victory report conference was held at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Seo-gu, Gwangju at 7 p.m. on the 23rd with over 1,000 people, including elected officials and party members, in attendance.

The reporting conference on this day was divided into Part 1 and Part 2. In the first part, the Gwangju-Jeonnam general election victory reporting meeting was held in the following order: opening, national ceremony, introduction of guests, greetings from provincial and provincial party chairpersons, progress report, and party leader’s speech.

In particular, when the ‘March for the Beloved’ was played, the party members sang energetically, and the elected members of the Fatherland Innovation Party entered along with the song.

The second part was held in the following order: video screening with dialogue with Gwangju and Jeonnam party members, conversation with party members, closing ceremony, and commemorative photos.

In his speech that day, Party Chairman Cho Kuk said, “Gwangju is the home of martyrs who resisted military dictatorship with all their might, as well as the hometown of those who dreamed of a world where people live.” He added, “It is a place where the spirit of President Kim Dae-jung resides everywhere, and President Roh Moo-hyun’s 2002 National Primary Election. “It is a place steeped in myth,” he said.

He said, “I know very well that they supported us because they thought we would be a clear and resolute opposition party,” and pledged, “We will fight properly to stop the runaway dictatorship of the prosecution and set the country straight.”

At the same time, he said, “The people, including voters in Gwangju and South Jeolla Province, have ordered the Fatherland Innovation Party to break the ice of the frozen prosecutorial dictatorship regime.” “I ordered that the spirit of May 18 be clearly stated in the preamble to the Constitution,” he explained.

Representative Cho said, “It is a strict order and a heavy responsibility. “Our battle lines must not be disorganized,” he said. “If we break the promises we made during the election process, if we deviate even a little from that path, the people will hit us with the cane of reprimand.”

“The party will become an icebreaker and a tugboat,” he said. “Let’s work hard and be humble.” “Let’s march forward without stopping,” he appealed.

Lastly, Representative Cho Kuk hugged the party member tightly while introducing a handwritten letter written by a 91-year-old party member that said, ‘Son, cheer up.’
