Christian astronaut chosen for historic return trip to Lula

Being able to praise God from space, seeing even closer the grandeur of creation, is the privilege that the Christian astronaut Victor Glover will have next year, when NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States) will make a trip history back to Lula.

Victor is one of the four crew members who will be on board the spacecraft that will carry out the Artemis 2 mission. The objective is to make the human being return to Lula after 50 years of the first trip, at the time called the Apollo mission.

Astronaut and former US Air Force pilot Reid Wiseman will command the trip. Mission specialist Christina Koch will be the first woman to travel on Lula, and former pilot Jeremy Hansen will be the first Canadian on the mission.

Victor, who is also a former US Air Force pilot, will be the first black person to travel to lunar territory, but this is not his first experience off Earth. In 2020 he piloted the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, traveling to the International Space Station 1.

space praise

Even on a mission that requires maximum focus, Victor did not stop praising God when he was away from Earth. On the contrary, he was keen to use the opportunity to testify his faith to the world.

“I was able to worship in space, I was able to commune every week I was in space. NASA supported my desire to continue to worship and continue my walk of faith even when I was off planet. That was very important to me”, he said about the experience, according to Guiame.

The announcement that the Christian astronaut will be on the next trip to Lula was made last Monday (3) at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Now, all that Victor wants the most is to be able to successfully fulfill his mission, once again giving a show of technique and fidelity to God.
