Christmas is long over and most Christmas trees have done their job. However, next weekend many of them will have the opportunity to provide light, warmth and comfort one last time – namely when they are burned.
Tree versus mulled wine
A corresponding action is planned in Neetzow at the community center from 5 p.m. Anyone who brings their own tree will receive a free mulled wine. The organizers say that physical well-being will also be taken care of on site.
The New Year will also be welcomed in Krien by the light of burning Christmas trees. It starts on Saturday, January 13th, at 4:30 p.m. at the fire pit on the village square, invites the local council. Thanks to many hard-working helpers, there will also be good care there.
With pea stew from the goulash cannon
There will also be an “O-Tannenbaum fire” in the Ducherow industrial area opposite the fire department on Saturday from 4 p.m. In addition to the roaring flames, the program includes bratwurst and grilled meatballs as well as non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks for everyone, according to an announcement. Admission is free.
In Klein Bünzow, too, the last hour of many Christmas trees strikes on Saturday. It starts at 6 p.m. at the volunteer fire department’s fire station. In addition to the usual bratwurst, pea stew from the goulash cannon and waffles are also on offer. DJ Frank also ensures a good mood. The Christmas trees intended for burning will be collected by the fire department from the villages in the community on Saturday from 9 a.m. and should therefore be put out well in advance.
