Ciccio Ingrassia, the legendary comedian died twenty years ago

Francesco Ingrassia, nicknamed Ciccio, was born in Palermo on 5 October 1922. His year of birth is still marked 1923 in the registry office, an error also known to the family but never formally corrected. Francesco’s father was a bricklayer and his mother a housewife, with a very modest income which forced them to make more than one sacrifice.
