October 17 is Fuzuli City Day. On this occasion, a solemn City Day event was held in Fuzuli with the joint organization of the Ministry of Culture and the special representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Agdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend regions.
Day.Az reports that state and government officials, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, artists and other guests took part in the event.
Residents of Fuzuli, who have returned to their homeland, are preparing for the holiday feast with great enthusiasm and joy today. The participants of the event will get acquainted with colorful thematic exhibitions and watch an interesting concert program performed by art masters and artistic collectives.
During the day, as part of the program, photo exhibitions called “National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Fuzuli”, “On the Wings of Time: Fuzuli”, art exhibition “My Fuzuli”, performance “Fuzuli 530”, master classes on decorative-applied folk arts and an entertainment zone for children were organized. will be done. Also, information about the historical and cultural monuments of Fuzuli region will be presented, material and cultural samples discovered as a result of archaeological excavations will be presented here.
The event ended with a gala-concert program and fireworks.
It should be noted that by the Decree dated July 31, 2023, signed by President Ilham Aliyev, city days were established in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the decree, October 17 is Fuzuli City Day.
