The president Claudia Sheinbaum made an important announcement regarding the Wellness Pharmacies that will be launched for 2025.
This measure will have the objective that, both older adults and people with disabilities, can access free medicines.
As announced by Claudia Sheinbaum, the Wellbeing Pharmacies will begin to be built in the middle of next year 2025.

During the inauguration of a section of the Jala-Puerto Vallarta HighwayPresident Claudia Sheinbaum made an important announcement about the Wellbeing Pharmacy.
He explained that these important medicine distribution centers will be installed next to the branches of the Welfare Banks in the middle of next year.
“In the middle of next year, together with the Wellbeing Banks, they will begin to install Wellbeing Pharmacies, so that they can go there to get their free medicines, the basic ones, for the elderly and people with disabilities”

It is worth remembering that Pharmacies for Wellbeing were one of his campaign promises and appeared as one of his 100 government commitments.
Also during the campaign, President Claudia Sheinbaum promised that the surgery program would be expanded, in addition to cataract and knee operations being massive throughout the country.

President Claudia Sheinbaum also mentioned that the federal government will hire 22 thousand health workers to deploy the “House-to-House Health” program.
“We are hiring nurses, nurses, nurses, doctors, doctors, who will work together with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Welfare, and the Secretary of Welfare”, highlighted the president.
To his announcement, he added that more than 22 thousand workers are being hired in the communities.
He explained that starting in February, health workers will visit once a month, or once every two months, each and every older adults and to people with disabilities.
As established by the “House to House Health” program, the workers will take the beneficiaries’ hospital signs, talk and learn about their health situation.
