Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Reduced to Rs. 101.50, Sold at Rs. 1,833

In a move to ease the financial burden on airlines and consumers, oil companies have reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders. Effective from Wednesday, the price of a 19 kg gas cylinder used in restaurants and tea shops is now set at Rs. 101.50. In Delhi, these cylinders are being sold at Rs. 1,833, while in Mumbai, they are priced at Rs. 1,785.50.

Oil companies review and revise the prices of LPG cylinders on the 1st of every month, taking into consideration the situation in the foreign market. In October, the price for the second consecutive month has been set at Rs. 101.50.

In contrast, there has been no change in the price of the 14.2 kg cooking gas cylinder used for domestic purposes. Since August, its price has remained at Rs. 200, regardless of the international market conditions. It continues to be sold at Rs. 903.

Furthermore, the prices of petrol and diesel have not seen any variation for the past 19 months. These prices are adjusted daily based on the crude oil prices in the foreign market. In Delhi, a liter of petrol costs Rs. 96.72, while in Chennai, it is being sold for Rs. 102.63. Diesel is priced at Rs. 94.24 per liter.

In a relief for the aviation industry, the price of aviation fuel has been reduced by Rs. 6,854 per kiloliter, amounting to a decrease of 5.79%. In Delhi, the cost of jet fuel has been adjusted from Rs. 1,18,199 per kg to Rs. 1,11,344.

This reduction comes after four consecutive monthly price increases, aimed at alleviating the financial crisis faced by airlines.

Overall, these changes in fuel prices are expected to benefit both businesses and consumers, providing some respite in challenging economic times.
