India’s leading telecom companies like Reliance Jio, Airtel and VI offer various international roaming recharge plans for their users. Roaming recharge plans help users make or receive voice calls, send or receive messages at reasonable rates even when they are abroad.

Here we compare the most popular annual international roaming plans with companies’ international roaming packages for the US, Mexico and the UAE.

Only Jio and Airtel offer annual international roaming plans. Vi company is not in this list. Jio’s international roaming plan is available for Rs 2,799. The plan offers a total validity of 365 days, 100 minutes of outgoing calls and incoming calls, 2GB data and 100 SMS. Airtel, on the other hand, offers 365 days validity, 100 local, home and incoming minutes, 2GB data and 20 SMS for Rs 2,997. Among the above 2 plans, Jio’s plan is the cheapest.

International Roaming Plans for USA, Mexico and US Virgin Islands:

Both Jio and Airtel AGI have 1 month validity options. Jio’s Rs 3,455 plan offers 30 days validity, 250 minutes of local and home calls, 25GB data and 100 SMS. Airtel, meanwhile, is offering 100 minutes of local and India calls, 100 minutes of incoming calls per day, 12GB data and 20 SMS with a validity of 30 days at Rs 3,999. Jio stands out by offering 7 times more data, lower cost and unlimited incoming calls compared to Airtel’s plan.

If perhaps you don’t want to recharge the 30-day plan, Jio offers a 21-day validity plan priced at Rs 2,555. This plan offers 250 minutes of local and home calls, 15GB data, 100 SMS and unlimited incoming calls. Meanwhile, Airtel is offering 200 minutes of voice calls (local calls + calls to India + incoming calls), 5GB data and 20 SMS with a validity of 30 days at Rs 2,998.

Vi offers 7-day validity, 7GB data, 120 minutes of voice calls, free incoming calls and SMS service at Rs.15 per SMS.

As for international roaming plans for UAE, Jio is offering 100 minutes of local and home calls, 100 incoming call minutes, 1GB data and 100 SMS with a validity of 7 days at Rs 898. Airtel offers 7 days validity, 1GB data and 20 SMS at Rs 899. Vi is offering 2GB data with 20 days validity at Rs.1198. No SMS benefits in this plan.

If you look at the plan with more benefits than this, Jio’s Rs 1,598 plan offers 150 minutes of incoming calls, 150 minutes of incoming calls, 3GB data, 100 SMS and 14 days validity. Meanwhile, Airtel offers a plan with almost the same benefits at Rs 2,998. It offers 200 minutes of voice calls including local calls (calls to India and incoming calls), 5GB data, 20 SMS, 30 days validity. Vi’s Rs 2,388 plan offers 300 minutes of outgoing and incoming calls, 4GB data and 40 days validity. But it lacks SMS benefits.
