The Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rekani, confirmed today, Friday, the completion of all projects of the first package to relieve traffic congestion by the end of April 2025.
A statement from the ministry – received by the (INA) – said: “Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rekani, conducted a field tour to inspect the work of the Qahtan tunnels and bridge within the Nisour Square growth project.”
The statement added, “The Minister also followed on the ground the work of the Abu Nawas Street expansion project, and the construction of the new Jadriya Bridge and linking it to the approaches to Nisour Square.”
Rikani confirmed – according to the statement – that “next month we will open three projects in Baghdad, and by the end of April 2025 we will complete all the projects of the first package to relieve traffic congestion.”
