Popular Malayalam actor Innocent passes away. He is 75 years old. Known as the ‘Comedy King’ of Malayalam Cinema, Innocent has acted in a few films in Tamil including ‘Lesa Lesa’, ‘Nan Ahe Meretha’. He has acted in more than 700 films and has also acted in character roles. He has served as the president of the Malayalam Actors’ Association and as a member of the Lok Sabha from the Chalakudy constituency.
A few years ago, he was diagnosed with throat cancer and recovered after treatment. He was continuously acting in films and suffered shortness of breath a few days ago. Due to this he was admitted to a private hospital in Kochi. There he was given intensive care but remained in a critical condition.
In this case, he died the night before yesterday. His body was kept at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kochi for public homage. Malayalam actor, actresses and public paid tribute there. Later his body was taken home. His funeral is taking place today.
Political leaders including Prime Minister Modi, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the film industry have condoled the death of Innocent.
In the condolence message released by Prime Minister Modi, Innocent, who filled the hearts of fans with humor, will be remembered forever.
