Al-Zawraa Club management member, club spokesman Abdul Rahman Rashid, confirmed that the derby match against Al-Shorta, which will be held between them today at Al-Shaab International Stadium for the 13th round of the Iraq Stars League, is a difficult and sensitive match.

Rashid said in a statement to the (INA), today, Sunday: “Today’s match is not without difficulty, given that both teams are looking for victory and competing for second place.”
Rashid added, “Focus and the psychological factor will play a major role in determining the outcome of the match, and this is what the technical staff stressed during the last training unit, in addition to the necessity of implementing duties on the field,” indicating that “the Al-Zawraa team plays team football, and this is the most important characteristic that the team has.”
Rashid continued, “The match will witness the absence of the two players, Alaa Abbas, due to his injury during the Basra camp, as well as Murad Muhammad. As for the rest of the players, they are fully prepared for the match.”
Al-Zawraa team occupies third place in the general standings of the Iraq Stars League teams with (23 points).
