Many contracts are expiring at FC Bayern. There are apparently discussions going on in the background – and there is also supposed to be a tough demand.
Sporting things have been going solid for FC Bayern so far. In the Bundesliga, the German record champions lead the table. In the Champions League, coach Vincent Kompany’s team has to survive after one win and one defeat on Wednesday evening at FC Barcelona (from 9 p.m. in the t-online live ticker). In addition, those responsible are busy in the background with contractual situations.
According to “Sport Bild”, there are already initial informal discussions at FC Bayern about extending the contract with Manuel Neuer. The 38-year-old goalkeeper’s working paper is valid until summer 2025. Internally, an extension of the contract is described as a “formality”, so that the agreement could be announced at the end of the year.
Neuer is currently expected to earn around 20 million euros. According to the magazine, a sum that also appears realistic for the future. However, FC Bayern should make it a point to reduce the guaranteed sums in the future and to focus more on performance-oriented bonuses.
In addition to Neuer, Alphonso Davies‘ contract also expires next year. According to “Sport Bild” there is still hope that the 23-year-old defender will extend his contract in Munich. However, the Canadian would apparently have to forego his salary expectations, which should be around 16 million euros plus bonus payments per year. FC Bayern is probably prepared to pay around three million euros less. In addition to Real Madrid, Davies is apparently also being courted by Manchester United. Davies and his agent are also apparently demanding 15 million euros just for signing a new contract.
Leroy Sané’s working paper is also only valid until next summer. However, Bayern sports director Max Eberl recently emphasized that they were in a “good exchange” about a possible adjustment to his contract. Like Neuer, Sané is currently expected to earn around 20 million euros and could continue to do so in the future with his performance through bonuses.
