The procedure for monitoring strategically important goods and the criteria for determining short-term sharp changes in prices for these goods have been approved.
The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Day.Az reports.
It is noted that this rule was developed on the basis of Article 5.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On State Reserves” and defines the organizational and legal framework, the procedure for monitoring strategically important goods, as well as the criteria for short-term sharp changes in prices for these goods.
Monitoring of strategically important goods is carried out by the body responsible for state reserves – the Agency of State Reserves of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The purpose of monitoring is to study the situation to ensure the stability of supplies of strategically important goods to the country and assess the need to take measures to prevent short-term sharp changes in prices for these goods.
Monitoring includes:
– obtaining information about the availability and movement of strategically important goods;
– identification and assessment of factors that pose a threat to the stability of supplies of strategically important goods;
– regular monitoring of the volume of strategically important goods;
– control over the volume of these goods when the possibility arises of reducing the volume of strategically important goods.
Monitoring is carried out based on the following data:
– data from the State Statistics Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic;
– information obtained from Internet resources and the media;
– data received from market participants.
