Former AIADMK minister Jayakumar has placed blame on the DMK government for the recent floods in North and South districts of Chennai. After paying respects at the memorial of MGR at Chennai Marina, Jayakumar addressed the media in a press conference.
He demanded that the DMK government take responsibility for the floods and issue a white paper on rainwater drainage works. Jayakumar stated that if dredging work had been carried out in the southern districts, the water would not have stagnated, leading to the floods.
However, Jayakumar also emphasized the need for civilized politics, taking a jab at Udhayanidhi Stalin, a member of the DMK party. He criticized Udhayanidhi’s outspoken nature, stating that he should make comments in a more responsible manner and referred to him as an immature politician.
