Title: Tamil Empire Party General Secretary Strongly Opposes Land Acquisition in Neyveli

Puducherry: In a recent press conference held in Puducherry, Gauthaman, the General Secretary of the Tamil Empire Party and a film director, voiced his strong opposition to any land acquisition in Neyveli, stating that it would never be allowed to happen.

Gauthaman criticized the Tamil Nadu government for its handling of the protest against the Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) in Cuddalore district, comparing it to the violent riot that occurred during the Tuticorin Sterlite plant protest under the AIADMK regime. He expressed disappointment that the government and police did not handle the protest in Neyveli more effectively.

Speaking about the use of force, Gauthaman questioned the need for firing bullets, when alternatives such as tear gas and water cannons were available. He highlighted the similarities between the suppression of the Sterlite protest and the one in Neyveli, urging the government to handle protests in a more peaceful and respectful manner.

Gauthaman firmly stated that the Tamil Empire Party and its supporters would not back down if they faced a similar situation in Neyveli as they did during the Sterlite protest. He gave the government a one-week ultimatum, stating that if appropriate action was not taken, the Tamil Nadu government and the central government would have to bow down to public pressure.

Criticizing the Cuddalore District Collector, Gauthaman demanded that the official act with honesty and fairness. He also called for an explanation from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu regarding the NLC land acquisition incident. Gauthaman expressed his concern that both the India coalition and the NDA alliance seem to prioritize the interests of corporates over the well-being of the indigenous people.

Highlighting the need for unity among the younger generation to protect Tamil land, Gauthaman warned against a situation similar to what occurred in Sri Lanka, where Tamils were destroyed. He urged the people to stand united in order to prevent such a scenario in Tamil Nadu.

Gauthaman also took aim at Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai, calling him a new broker who holds their land and people hostage. He warned Annamalai that the Tamil Empire Party and its supporters would teach him a lesson if he continued to act against their interests.

Overall, Gauthaman’s statements reflect the growing opposition and concerns regarding land acquisition in Neyveli and the need for the government to address these issues with transparency and fairness.
