Corona can cause permanent damage to several organs

One in eight Corona patients in a UK hospital has had a heart attack within two months of being infected with Corona. As the epidemic progressed, it became clear that some of the people infected with the virus were left with persistent symptoms – a condition called ‘long corona’.

Corona patients suffer from heart, health and kidney problems, and are common among those who have been hospitalized, with one in eight specifically suffering from heart problems, researchers have revealed. As the epidemic progressed, it became clear that some of the people infected with the virus were left with persistent symptoms – a condition known in the medical world as ‘long corona’.

Previous studies have found that less than a third of patients who experienced persistent coronary symptoms after being hospitalized with the disease feel complete recovery only a year later. Now researchers monitoring the condition of patients treated at the hospital because of corona say they have found evidence that the disease can take a toll on a variety of organs. Moreover, they say the severity of the persistent symptoms appears to be related to the severity of the infection in the corona itself.

“Even healthy people who are fit can suffer from severe coronary heart disease and to avoid this, the public must respond to the vaccine offer,” said Professor Colin Berry, of the University of Glasgow, who led the study. “Our study provides evidence for abnormalities one to two months after the corona, and these findings are related to persistent symptoms at the time and plausibility to persistent health needs a year later,” Berry added.

The researchers published the findings in the journal Nature Medicine, following the results of 159 people hospitalized with corona between May 2020 and March 2021. The team performed a variety of scans and blood tests 28-60 days after the release of corona patients when patients were also given fill-out questionnaires. The results were compared to those from a control group of 29 people of the same age, ethnicity who did not have corona. It turned out that those hospitalized with corona showed a number of abnormalities, including in the results of the heart, lungs and kidneys.
