When does my vaccination expire?

The vaccination certificate expires after one year. SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach (58) to BILD: “That is the provisional validity. But we urgently need to talk about whether that should be shortened. ”The vaccination protection itself is probably sufficient for most for a year or more – at least to protect against severe courses.

“But it protects different age groups from infection to different degrees and for different lengths of time,” says Lauterbach. “The duration of protection, especially for older people, has to be looked at again. At the moment he speaks everything in favor of a booster vaccination for everyone over 70. “
