“All thirteen patients treated experimentally with Mavrilimumab have recovered and are alive; of the others, treated in a standard way, some have slowly recovered and others have died.” This is the summary made by Professor Lorenzo Dagna of San Raffaele in Milan, coordinator of the study on the antibody capable, according to the institute, of slowing down coronavirus inflammation in severely symptomatic patients. “The positive and comforting aspect”, adds Dagna, “is that no side effects have been recorded. This could allow, once the experimentation is completed, to be able to use the drug even in the initial stages of the disease”
