New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has ordered Narinder Batra to cease his day-to-day activities as the President of the Indian Olympic Association. IOA Vice President Anil Khanna will be given temporary charge of the presidency by Justice Dinesh Sharma. Batra became the President of the Olympic Association as a lifelong member of Hockey India. However, former hockey player Olympian Aslam Sher Khan has approached the court against Batra. A month ago, a Delhi court ordered Batra’s removal, but Batra attended meetings as IOA president. Referring to this, Aslam Sherkhan again approached the court. In light of this, the court ordered the immediate removal of Batra and his immediate resignation as IOA president.
