Covid-19: 31 new cases, more than 6.83 million people have received three doses of the vaccine
Rabat – A total of 31 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and 26 recoveries were recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection said on Friday.
In its daily bulletin on the epidemiological situation, the ministry further specified that the number of first-time vaccinated reached 24,910,450, that of people having received two doses amounts to 23,408,495, while 6,836,447 people have had three injections of the vaccine and 52,599 received the fourth dose.
The new infection toll brings the total number of contaminations to 1,265,363 since the first case reported in Morocco on March 2, 2020, while the number of recovered people increased to 1,248,887, i.e. a recovery rate of 98, 7%.
The new cases of infection were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (13), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (10), Marrakech-Safi (02), Fès Meknès (02), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (02 ), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (01) and Souss-Massa (01).
The total number of deaths is still 16,280 (case fatality 1.3%), with zero cases recorded in the last 24 hours.
Active cases number 196, with no severe or critical cases reported in the last 24 hours.c
