Covid was a pandemic that shook the whole world. People were literally locked inside their homes for two years due to Covid. Many people died. Still its ripples are not over.

The origin of covid is also hotly debated and debated. So far, experts have come to the conclusion that the covid may have spread to humans from bats. However, the new discovery of the researchers is that the creature that spread the disease is not a bat, but is likely to be a raccoon dog.

Raccoon dog meat was illegally sold at a seafood market in Wuhan, China. It is concluded that the disease may have spread to humans from these.

Genetic information obtained from saliva samples taken from the floor, walls and animal cages at a seafood wholesaler in Hunan showed that the infected were raccoon dogs. This alone does not prove that raccoon dogs have spread the disease to humans. But researchers say that the disease spread from such wild animals.

This is a strong indication that the animals in the market were infected. Virologist Angela Rasmussen told the New York Times that there is no other explanation. The research was led by three researchers, Christian Anderson, Michael Woroby and Edward Holmes.
