BOLZANO. Federghiaccio informs that the friendly match between Switzerland and Italy scheduled for this evening, Tuesday 4 May, in Biel-Bienne, has been canceled.
The decision was made for precautionary and safety reasons following the positivity of two players of the Italian national team at Covid-19. Both athletes immediately abandoned the Italian rally, and people considered to be in close contact were also isolated as a precaution.
The national team will now continue the preparation meeting in Bolzano in view of the Top Division World Cup in Riga. Two more friendly matches against Austria are scheduled for Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May at the Palaonda in Bolzano.
