The CPM State Secretary MV Govindan has accused the Congress of voting for the BJP in Rajasthan in order to defeat the CPM. In a press conference, Govindan stated that the BJP won against the CPM candidate in the sitting seat, and the votes of the Congress fell to a large extent. He also highlighted that the Congress is losing its foothold in the Hindi heartland, with only Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana still under its control.

Furthermore, Govindan pointed out that the Congress has failed to put forward any political slogans and has been unable to adopt an alternative policy to the BJP’s Hindutva agenda. This, he believes, demonstrates that the Congress cannot be an alternative political party. In the recent Rajasthan assembly elections, the CPI(M) contested 17 seats but failed to win a single one, highlighting its struggle to gain ground in the state.

The results showed that CPM’s candidates in Dungargarh and Bhadra were unable to secure victory, with the votes falling short in comparison to the BJP and Congress candidates. Similarly, CPM state secretary Amra Ram Danta also faced defeat in the Ramgad constituency.

This news serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by the CPM in establishing a strong presence in Rajasthan, as well as the changing political landscape in the state.
