This Sunday (24), Criciúma stamped its passport for the final of the Catarinense Championship. Playing at home, Tigre defeated Barra by the score of 2-1, repeating the score suffered in the first match. However, on penalties, the 4-3 victory confirmed the team’s classification for the decision, in which they will face Brusque, starting next weekend.

Needing a victory, Criciúma went straight ahead and managed to open the scoring. At six minutes, after a throw from Marcelo Hermes, Felipe Mateus opened the scoring. Still in the first stage, Renato Kayser scored the second for the home team who seemed to have the place in their hands. But Barra reduced it with Wesley, in stoppage time, to keep the tie equal.

In the second half, Criciúma put pressure on Barra, but were unable to reach the third goal. Especially because it came up against good saves from goalkeeper Ewerton. Thus, the match ended up going to penalties, in which Tigre did well and won advancing, 4-3, with Thiago Santos and Álvaro losing to Barra.

In the decision, in two matches, Criciúma will face Brusque, who eliminated Avaí, also this weekend, winning 4-2, in total.
