A discussion meeting on the role of banks and bankers in the economic development plan was held under the initiative of bankers’ organization ‘Bankers Welfare Club Bangladesh’.

This discussion meeting was organized at the National Press Club on Saturday. Simultaneously, prizes were distributed among the winners of the inter-bank chess competition. The cover of the organization’s mouthpiece ‘The Banker’s Mirror’ was unveiled.

In the speech of the Chief Guest, the State Minister appreciated the various welfare measures taken by the Bankers Welfare Club. He assured cooperation in implementing the initiative to establish a hospital for bankers. As a result of the timely development in the banking sector, banks have reached the doorsteps of people. He also commented that bankers are keeping the development dynamic through mobile banking, agent banking and various digital banking services.
