Cryogenmash and Malaysian Angkasa-X agreed to cooperate in space projects

The Cryogenmash company has agreed with the Malaysian Angkasa-X on the beginning of cooperation in the field of creating infrastructure for launch rocket complexes for civilian spaceports in Southeast Asia, the company’s press service reported.

According to Dmitry Kuznetsov, General Director of Cryogenmash, the company has developed a number of its own unique technologies for creating systems for filling cryogenic products and ensuring temperature control, which are already used at Russian and foreign spaceports.

“We see significant interest in creating space infrastructure in Southeast Asia and are ready to work in new geographical markets,” he said.

Angkasa-X co-founder William Lim, in turn, pointed out that cryogenic systems are one of the key elements of ground infrastructure, so the company is looking forward to mutually beneficial cooperation with Cryogenmash.

The press service of Cryogenmash also noted that the company is ready to provide the supply of ground engineering infrastructure related to cryogenics. “First of all, we are talking about the rocket engine fueling system and the temperature control system,” the source said. Production and delivery will take two to three years, the estimated cost of the project is 4-8 billion rubles, the company added.

The parties signed a memorandum of understanding at JSC Glavkosmos, in the near future, as expected, an action plan for the development and creation of key elements of the spaceport infrastructure will be worked out.
