In order to attend to the cleaning problems y garbage collection in the demarcation, the mayor of Cuauhtémoc, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega will present a project to the head of Government, Clara Brugadato replace the clandestine dumps by biodigesters.

This was announced when presenting the actions for his first 100 days in office, among which he announced the installation of pilot tests with biodigesters, to reduce the accumulation of garbage with the help of technology, in order to comply with the Solid Waste Law of the Mexico City.

In this sense, Rojo de la Vega recognized his district as the mayor’s office where the most garbage is generated daily, with the proliferation of more than 300 clandestine open dumps.

Regarding the protests of unionized workers who carry out cleaning services in the mayor’s office, he recognized their right to demonstrate. However, he indicated that the administration asked them to come in person to collect their salary, as part of a census that allows them to know precisely where and how they are performing their duties.

“We are investing 9 million pesos per month in the payroll of 1,200 unionized workers, of which 700 are assigned to cleaning duties. But the problem is that the previous administration did not even leave us the established routes, the location of the workers or a clear record of the fulfillment of their duties,” he said.

Among other actions, the mayor of Cuauhtémoc promised to combat the problem of aviators and the collection of fees from mayoral staff, by referring complaints by employees, who claim to be under pressure and threats to give part of their salary to actors. politicians.
