Adrian Di Monte, cuban actorwon this week in the first season of the reality show“The Island: Extreme Challenge” on the Telemundo network.
Di Monte, 34, born in Santa Clara, won a prize of 200 thousand dollars after he beat Colombian Hubert “Wakanda” Riascos in the final.
The grand finale of the reality show was held on October 14, where the Cuban, representative of the Los Tiburones team, faced extreme tests of physical and mental survival in wild environments, from beaches and mountains to dense forests.
He reality show “The Island: Desafío Extremo” premiered on July 30 and has kept the audience on the edge of their seats ever since. With an innovative format, 24 participants were divided into three teams: Los Águilas, Los Tiburones and Las Panteras.
Every week, they competed for territories that determined the living conditions: from the comfort of Playa Alta to the adversities of Playa Baja.
It is important to mention that the act born in Santa Clara already had experience in reality shows, since in 2017 he participated in the fourth season of the Mexican program Bailando por un Sueño. In that program, she won first place with her dance partner Montserrat Yescas.
It is worth mentioning that Adrián Di Monte left Cuba at the age of 15 with his family looking for new opportunities and a better life in the United States.
In the first instance, the Cuban was interested in studying architecture, finishing his degree, but he never pursued it, since he preferred to dedicate himself to the arts.
His acting career began with specific participations in soap operas on Venevisión and Univisión, such as Eva Luna, My heart insists on Lola Volcán y Aurora. Subsequently, the Cuban received opportunities in other more notable productions, joining Telemundo in 2015.
In 2017, he emigrated to Mexico and was hired by Televisa. That same year, he signed an exclusivity contract with the Mexican television network
