Munich – “Hot chocolate” takes on a whole new meaning…
The customs investigation office in Munich seized 1.4 tons of potency chocolate. In August 2022, investigators came across 24,000 dark bars of the “Hornet – the Horny Performance Chocolate” brand in a warehouse near Mannheim.
They then intercepted two more truckloads in November 2022 and April 2023 – a total of 60,000 panels!

A spokeswoman for BILD: “According to the contents, the chocolate should stimulate blood circulation through ginseng and guarana extract. However, a report from the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL) showed that the chocolate contained 30 mg of sildenafil per bar and that it should therefore be classified as a questionable finished medicinal product according to the Medicines Act.

Sildenafil is the main ingredient in Viagra. According to customs, Tadalafil was also in some tablets – it leads to the same result. According to customs, the panels were made in Turkey. Unit price online: 8 euros.
According to customs spokesman Albert Wagner, the chocolate posed a health risk “as the uncontrolled consumption of these active pharmaceutical ingredients without medical supervision can have serious and sometimes dangerous consequences for the consumer.” With chocolate in particular, “there is also an increased risk of unintentional consumption by children,” says Wagner.
The hot chocolate is also legally risky. Wagner: “The import and distribution of such ‘food’, which is to be viewed as medicine, can result in criminal proceedings and prison sentences.”
