Czech President Milos Zeman suffers from cirrhosis of the liver. This was stated by a member of the medical council dealing with the treatment of the head of state, Pavel Pafko.
According to the doctor, a special feeding tube was installed for Zeman. The state of the head of state, meanwhile, improved somewhat on November 4: Zeman was transferred from the intensive care unit of the hospital to a regular ward. But the president’s treatment, according to the doctor, can take at least 3-4 weeks. Further forecasts will depend on that. how carefully Zeman himself will follow the prescriptions of doctors.
Milos Zeman is 77 years old. At the Central Military Hospital in Prague, the president was hospitalized in mid-September 2021, in a state of severe exhaustion and dehydration. After that, the opposition began to actively discuss the possibility of early termination of his powers by the head of state for health reasons.
