Guiyang city hosts the first exhibition with works by Salvador Dali in China after the pandemic restrictions. A universal geniuswhich opens this Thursday, includes 120 works including oils, watercolors, drawings and graphic work, all of them from the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation. The retrospective at the Guiyang International Fashion Center emphasizes three aspects that are of particular interest to Asian audiences, such as the classic references of Dalí, Velázquez and Michelangelo; the scenographies created by the painter from Figueres and the optical illusions.

A representative of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation will attend the opening of the exhibition tomorrow, which can be visited until August 31. The general director of the Dalí Foundation, Fèlix Roca; the manager, Joan Manuel Sevillano; the deputy director of Collections and Exhibitions, Carme Ruiz, and the commercial director, Leonora Aixas will be present at the opening event. The Spanish Ambassador to China, Rafael Dezcallar de Mazarredo, and the Spanish Minister for Culture in China, Gerardo Bugallo Ottone, will also attend.
