The Government of Mexico City has enthusiastically announced the arrival of the long-awaited event “Celebration of Girls and Boys”, an initiative whose main objective is to celebrate the cultural rights of children.

On Tuesday, April 30, this iconic place will be transformed into a vibrant and colorful setting, where various activities will be carried out to celebrate the little ones in the house.

From live music with renowned bands such as Los Patita de Perro and Los Migajita Sound Band, to traditional games, contests, reading days and the presence of Mexican sweets to satisfy the most demanding palates, the Zócalo will become a space for meeting and joy for the whole family.

But the celebration is not limited only to the Zócalo, but extends throughout the city, encompassing a wide variety of cultural spaces such as museums, Arts and Crafts Factories (FAROS), the Theater System and cultural centers.

Starting on Wednesday, April 24, and throughout the week, these places will be the scene of various activities designed to offer an enriching and fun experience for the youngest.

The capital government highlighted the importance of the initiative as an opportunity to vindicate the rights of girls and boys, as well as to promote access to culture in all its forms.

“We are going to have more than 40 activities focused on celebrating the rights of girls and boys. From the Yancuic Museum to the Faro de Oriente, there will be options for all tastes and ages. It is not only a recreational day, but also an opportunity to vindicate the rights of our children,” said the Head of Government, Martí Batres.

The diversity of scheduled activities is impressive

From concerts, theater, dance and storytelling, to creative workshops and interactive exhibitions, the program offers a wide range of options for boys and girls to enjoy and learn in an active and participatory way.

In addition, there will be the presence of renowned bands and artists who will offer shows specially designed for children, with positive and educational messages.

The Secretary of Culture of Mexico City, Claudia Curiel de Icaza, highlighted the variety and quality of the activities scheduled for this event.

“Patita de Perro, which is a children’s rock band, has 25 years of experience and we are very interested because it has a very positive message about the rights of girls and boys, the importance of nutritious food, caring for the environment. atmosphere, the importance of family ties and they will perform the most famous songs.

“And then we are going to have Los Migajita Sound Band, which is a very good, interactive group, for girls, for boys of all ages; it fuses rock, reggae, mainly.
