Traianos Dellas submitted his office from the OFI due to a serious personal problem, as he says in his statement on the team’s website.
In addition to the history of Della are his partners, Vassilis Borbokis and Dimitris Bouroutzikas. The Cretan PAE thanks them for their professionalism, stressing that it is not goodbye, just to see you again.
Milan Rastavacs is considered the favorite to take over OFI’s technical leadership.
OFI’s PAE was announced in detail:
“PAE OFI 1925 announced the mutual consent of the collaboration with the coach Mr. Traianos Della, after he resigned for personal reasons, which the administration accepted.
From the first day he accepted the technical leadership of our team until today, Traianos Dellas and his colleagues, Mr. Vassilis Borbokis and Dimitris Bouroutzikas showed complete professionalism and respect for OFI, doing everything possible to achieve the goals set together.
We wish good health to Mr. Dellas and his family, as well as his colleagues and that they continue to increase their knowledge in Greek football.
We’re not saying goodbye, but we’ll see you again…”
Statement of Traianos Dellas:
«After much consideration and in full consultation with management, I have made the decision to leave the team, due to a very serious personal problem.
All this time I tried with all my strength, together with my footballers, to create first a family and then a competitive team, even the history of OFI and Crete, which the world will be happy to see in the stadium.
I feel privileged to have been a coach at OFI for about 8 months and I want to thank the owner and president of the team, Mr. Michalis Bousi and his family for the honor they gave me and the opportunity they gave me, to be. in “helm” of this group.
I thank the administration and personally Mr. Mina Lysandrou and Ilias Poursanidis for the wonderful collaboration we had during these months.
I thank all my partners who worked hard every day to get the best possible result for the team on the field.
I thank the OFI people for their support and respect for me and finally a big thank you to my footballers. Because of the hard work we have put in, I hope at the end of the season it will reward them and they will achieve the goals we all set at the start of the season.”
