Following the Russian attack on Ukraine, which surprised the world with its intensity, a call in the Knesset to raise the bones of Rabbi Nachman of Breslav to Israel, against the background of the situation in which dozens of Israelis stay in Uman throughout the year.
The call was posted by MK Yom Tov Kalfon (right), who tweeted on Twitter: “It is time to raise the grave of Rabbi Nachman Maoman to Israel. There is already a plot ready in Jerusalem.”
The war is also being felt in the city of Uman, where tonight they reported echoes of explosions that were heard in the morning, and even local casualties following the Russian attack. The local Jews decided to flee to a place of safety.
In a conversation with Behadrei Haredim, Shlomi Elisha, a resident of Uman who also serves as deputy chairman of Rescue, spoke about what has happened in Uman in recent hours. “That all the Jews will not be harmed and it will be all right.”
