Singer Martin Gore (61) says about the new album: “We started working on this project early on during the pandemic and the songs were directly inspired by this time.”

Andrew Fletcher († 60), co-founder of the band, died unexpectedly last year. “After Fletch’s death, we decided to continue because we’re sure that’s what he would have wanted, and it gave the project an extra meaning,” Gore said.

Band colleague Dave Gahan (60) adds: “Fletch would have loved this album. We’re really looking forward to sharing it with you soon and we can’t wait to bring it to you live at next year’s shows.”

The band was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. From March 23, 2023, the duo wants to go on a world tour with their new album. First in North America. In the summer there should also be some dates in Europe.
