European Parliament competed to show themselves as pro-Armenian”/>
In the session of the European Parliament held this week, the ugly slander campaign against our country continues. The deputies of the European Parliament seem to have started a competition with each other, who will show himself more from the Armenian position and who will be more active in smear campaign against Azerbaijan.
Day.Az informs that Tural Ganjaliyev, a member of the Milli Majlis, told Trend these thoughts.
“First of all, from the opinions voiced in the discussions, we should especially note the statements, pressures and inappropriate statements against the COP29 session. So, we once again witnessed how biased and unfounded opinions each of the speakers expressed against the COP29 session. Members of the European Parliament COP29 “They try to confuse the session with issues such as human rights and the rights of Armenians in Azerbaijan, and make baseless accusations against our country,” he said.
According to the deputy, the deputies who talk about the violation of human rights in Azerbaijan, do not say a word about the former Azerbaijani IDPs, their situation, including the rights of people who are currently members of the West Azerbaijan Community.
“This shows how hypocritical and hypocritical their policy is. It shows how far the members of the European Parliament, who called on Azerbaijan to stop the oil contracts with the European Union, are generally out of the foreign policy issues of the European Union, and at the same time, they make inappropriate interventions and challenges to Azerbaijan in their world. they think they can exert pressure.
They do not want to understand that the European Union itself is the initiator of the conclusion of agreements in the field of oil and alternative energy with Azerbaijan. The European Union is the main interested party in the transfer of Azerbaijan’s energy resources to Europe. All this once again shows that the deputies of the European Parliament act from the political agenda of their Armenian patrons and the countries that are allied with them.
The traces of France and its allies can be felt here. However, we want to emphasize once again that this policy of the European Parliament is not new, since the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s, the European Parliament has always shown its hypocritical face.
While the fundamental rights of millions of Azerbaijanis from both Karabakh and Western Azerbaijan are violated, the members of the European Parliament, who did not say a single word about these rights, are now talking about the rights of “hundred thousand” Armenians and are using it against our country in a biased manner.
This proves how selective and discriminatory they are in the thinking of the European Parliament, how hypocritical they are when they talk about human rights whenever they want, and when it comes to Azerbaijanis, they do not recognize these rights. However, we will not retreat even a step from our native lands and national interests. The deputies of the European Parliament should keep this in mind,” said the deputy.
