The deal is still alive: despite the purchase of Beitar Jerusalem by Barak Abramov, it appears that the Aviel Zargari deal for Maccabi Haifa will happen after all. The new owner of Beitar prefers not to pay the pending debt to Jordan Shua, and Maccabi Haifa agrees to such a move – when according to the outline, Zargari is expected to technically move to Maccabi Haifa, and return on loan to Beitar in the coming season.

Beitar’s debt to Haifa for the purchase of Shua stands at approximately 1.8 million NIS, an amount that Abramov will not have to transfer to Haifa – and will decrease from the club’s debts. At the beginning it seemed that Abramov’s purchase of the team would mean that he would not agree to sell Zargari at the aforementioned price (mainly in light of the fact that in the past he was valued at a much higher price). But despite this, it seems that this is Beitar’s decision as of now.

The deal has been on the agenda for some time, even when the talks were conducted with Moshe Hogg, and it appears that this deal will also go through during Abramov’s time – who should tomorrow receive the final approval to become the new owner of Beitar. For the 19-year-old Zargari, this will be his fourth season in the seniors , and he will try to help his youth team survive in the Premier League – on the way to the next stop, perhaps, in the 2023/24 season.
